The Crypto Heck Tower is a P2E project centered around an upcoming turn-based dungeon exploration RPG by the same name. The characters the player controls in battle take the form of NFTs; currently, the Fiendish Friends and My Little Oni.
As players traverse the Tower their Fiends will gain experience points (EXP) and eventually "level up" upon reaching certain EXP thresholds. Greater levels improve the combat ability of the Fiends, which will be important as they climb higher in the Tower.
The enemies that inhabit the Tower may also drop the game's in-game currency, and native token, $HEKL, as well as "loot" in the form of ERC1155 tokens. These tokens can be equipped to Fiends to offer further advantage in battle or sold in third-party marketplaces.
The majority of the gameplay will take place in two forms: exploration and combat. Players must traverse a planned 100 semi-random floors, solving light puzzles and battling foes, in order to reach the top. The first 4 players to achieve this will be rewarded with $MATIC upon defeating the final enemy on the 100th floor, with the 1st place prize being 300 $MATIC.
Combat will be in a turn-based form with each combatant attacking in order of their "Speed Stat." The combatant with the highest Speed will attack first, followed by the next highest, and so on. A fight will conclude when all members of either side are brought to 0 "Hit Points". Hit Points are gained and lost through the use of attacks, special skills, and items. Victory will reward the player with EXP and may also give $HEKL or items to use later. Losing a fight will take the player out of the dungeon and force them to rethink their strategies and stock up on useful items.
The in-game currency, Heckels ($HEKL), are primarily obtained in two ways:
Heckels can currently be spent in a Rewards Store for early holders of the My Little Oni collection. In future they will have multiple use cases including:
The first two options will burn the tokens used and the third will transfer 90% to the owner of the rented Oni and the other 10% will be burned.
The collection currently features two sets of NFTs: the Fiendish Friends and My Little Oni. The latter of the two are currently available for mint at 15 $MATIC each.
The Fiends are the combatants on the player's side of any battle. They each have a unique combination of skills and stats which ensure even the least assuming of them can find their niche. Initially a free mint, where all 10,000 NFTs were minted within 5 hours, they are the only essential purchase in order to enjoy The Crypto Heck Tower.
As well as being able to be staked to earn $HEKL the Oni NFTs act as the leaders for the player's adventuring party. The Oni provide different passive bonuses to the Fiends working alongside them which can improve combat effectiveness, increase rewards, and more. Players without an Oni will be able to rent one from another player or head out without one.
The current use for $HEKL, and the primary benefit to the Polygon/NFT community, is in the Rewards Store. NFTs are purchased, using profits from the project, to be traded for $HEKL earned through staking and eventually gameplay. This benefits the projects featured by giving them both sales and exposure, and benefits holders of My Little Oni by giving them tangible rewards for their custom.
Featured collections include (or have included): Beluga Baybies, Troglodyte Society, and Bunny Hole.
